Engineering presentations and exhibits promote technical career fields and highlights the contributions of past and present successful African Americans. The presentations and exhibits instill pride and introduce numerous technical accomplishments that make real what is possible when we strive toward our dreams. Youth are encouraged to take inspiration from past and current success stories to aim toward a brighter future.

Do you know that…..
- Lonnie Johnson, an African American engineer who graduated from Tuskegee University, invented the Super Soaker high-powered water toy.
- We are able to use cell phones because of the cellular infrastructure developed by Jesse Russell, an engineer at Bell Laboratories who graduated from Tennessee State University.
- Linda Gooden was awarded the 2006 Black Engineer of the Year Award. She serves as the President of Lockheed Martin’s Information Technology Division.
